On April 22nd, we had a fortunate opportunity to do a food drive. A total of 9 of our club members, Dylan Oh, James Lee, Jinwoo Kim, Elijah Kim, Ryan Oh, Bonyeop Koo, Brian Park, Jason Lee, and Roy Lee participated in the event. We were able to gather a total of 100 kg of food, which was sponsored and donated by different food companies.
The foods that were donated to our club were Spam Little Gimbap / 5 boxes, Beef rice balls / 5 boxes, Omogari Kimchi Stew / 50 servings, Mokwoochon Kimbap Ham / 3 boxes, Crab meat / 5 boxes, and Spam 1.2 kg / 3 boxes.
We also had precious time, also discussing with one of the faculty members, who organizes all the events of the center. We had a deep discourse on discrimination and structural problems North Korean immigrants face in South Korea. The meeting was very productive, and we came up with various ideas for upcoming events and activities that align with our goals as a club. It was an opportunity for everyone to share their perspectives and ideas.
We are excited to implement these plans in the future and continue making a positive impact. Overall, it was an inspiring experience that motivated us to work even harder toward achieving our goals.
