On Friday, December 22, 2003, the first group of Chadwick Youth Supporters of the Sunshine Blanket Foundation X Beyond Border (Chadwick International's official club, https://www.instagram.com/ci_beyondtheborder), composed of students from the Upper School of Chadwick International School, held their first event since the inauguration ceremony, a "Talk with an Artist," which was held to support young artists and provide various job experiences for youth preparing for independence, and to introduce underprivileged children to various cultural activities and experience them together.
The event was held at Gallery Art Corner H in Jongro-gu, Seoul, in conjunction with the current exhibition "Whoever Was Using This Bed," where four artists participating in the exhibition, Omar Mismar, Sangsoon Bae, Eunjung Kim, and Zelda Kin, spoke together on the topic of 'Anxiety in the Times and the Role of Art'.
The event was attended by Dylan Oh (G11, leader), Ernie Choi (G11), Ryan Oh (G10), Chanwoo Lee (G10), Jinwoo Kim (G10), Chase Lee (G9), and Yeonhoo Kim (G9), all members of the first batch of Youth Supporters.
The Sunlight Blanket Foundation (sunblanket.org) is a non-profit volunteer organization that sponsors and supports independent youth and underprivileged children through various cultural activities.
The Youth Supporters will continue to support career exploration by planning various job experiences and conferences with mentors for pre-adolescents, and introduce and experience various cultural and artistic activities for underprivileged children, and also conduct fundraising activities to introduce and sell their artworks through bazaars.
